The range

Five reads, one afternoon.

Two looks, eleven frames, shot in a single session. Every one of these is the same woman in the same room. What changes is what she is thinking.

Linda Hill straight to camera in a chambray jacket, level and neutral

01

Straight to camera

Level, neutral, nothing performed. Clean background, no shadow across the face, eyes carrying the whole frame.

Primary submission headshot

Linda Hill in a cream linen jacket, arms folded, smiling openly at the lens

02

Warm and open

Arms folded, chin level, a real smile rather than a held one. The read that says she is easy to talk to before she says a word.

Commercial, spokesperson, lifestyle

Linda Hill with a hand at her chin, eyes off camera, caught mid thought

03

Mid thought

Hand at the chin, eyes off frame, a thought held behind them. Nothing posed about it, which is the part that is hard to fake.

Drama, procedural, longform

Linda Hill turned three quarters away, hair in motion, a private smile

04

The private smile

Turned away, hair caught moving, amused at something she is not telling you. This is where the comedy lives.

Character, comedy, ensemble

Linda Hill with a hand at her jaw, arms folded, holding the camera in a steady look

05

The one holding the leverage

Cool, measured, entirely unbothered. She does not raise her voice in this frame and she does not need to.

Antagonist, matriarch, authority

Linda Hill with both hands in her hair, chin lifted, caught between takes

She is not stiff in front of a lens. She plays.

About

Linda Hill is a Tampa based actor with a working life behind her. She was a direct importer in the seafood trade, sold radio advertising, and bought, sold, and exported King Air aircraft. She teaches yoga. She spent the last stretch in insurance and is stepping out of it on purpose.

She reads Southern without leaning on it, and she takes direction the way people do when they have already run rooms full of adults.

Performance

Five finished performances are available above: a featured scene written by Ken Braun and four original monologues written for Linda.
